Black and White

Since I had created images of eyes of Porcelain I thought I would try something contrasting.  Ebony seemed to be the perfect material.

Ebony is a dense, dark black wood with a distinctively smooth and shiny surface. It is often used for furniture, musical instruments, and other ornamental objects. The wood is resistant to scratching and denting, and its dark color is often enhanced with a glossy finish. Ebony takes a high polish, making it ideal for carving and turning. It is also known for its strength and stability, making it a popular choice for jewelry boxes and other items that require durability.

I like the smooth finish of both the Porcelain and ebony but the matted finish of the ebony really sets the two materials apart. The contrast between the two materials is striking and creates a unique visual effect when used together like this.
